The word “Allah” (الله) according to Arabic Linguists is derived from the word Al-’Ilah (الإله – or the two parts أل and إله).
The word ilah (إله) could be used for any god and even made plural but the word Allah (الله) can only be singular and not made into plural form and literally means “The one and only God”.
Coptic Egyptian Christians are very clear in using the word Allah to refer to “The God” who created the heavens and earth, as shown clearly here in the first chapter of the Bible, the Book of Genesis (The Beginning of Creation) 17 times!
